U Hotel Fifth Avenue, Empire State Building

Location was superb. Staff responded to my emails quickly. It was a really nice room with a fantastic view of the Empire State Building for a top price.

I have nothing but words of praise for this hotel! I have stayed here twice and have been very satisfied each time. From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure, everything was flawless. The staff is extremely friendly and professional, always available for anything needed. The rooms are perfectly clean, and the attention given to guests is at an enviable level. This is truly a place I will always return to and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect stay. I especially want to praise Carlos from the front desk and all the other employees at the front desk as well as the maid.

We could see the Empire State Building from our room, which was very New York-like. The interior of the room was also stylish. The location was great because it was cheaper than other hotels, even though it was in an area with many tourist attractions. There were many restaurants nearby, so it was very convenient. The front desk staff were all very kind. There was a Starbucks next to the hotel, and a Dunkin Donuts across the street, so it was a very convenient location. There was also a CVS nearby.

The staff at this location truly went above and beyond with customer service! Ty was the first to greet us upon arrival. His energy was fantastic, and we loved the music he was playing in the lobby. He offered to move my husband and I to a higher floor to be closer to our friends, but we declined as we prefer to be closer to the ground floor. The other lobby staff member, who I believe is named John, if I’m not mistaken, was also incredibly friendly. One evening, he lended us an umbrella because it was raining! He didn’t even ask, he just handed it to us because he could tell we needed it. When we checked out of the hotel, Ty took it upon himself to assist us with rolling our luggage out to the street as we met our driver. Seriously, these two deserve high praise and recognition! The location of this hotel proved to be excellent for walking throughout Manhattan as well as for accessing the subway. The rooms were smaller, but very clean and very comfortable. The shower and sink water got hot quickly and the A/C kept us cool, while the bed was so relaxing each evening.
